The Festival of Books in Los Angeles was a massive and exciting event. The most famous authors from the bestseller lists were there to meet and to sign books.
Hundreds of small publishers were there with their books. So many great people to meet and chat with. One would feel swallowed up by the famous. But then, the purpose of publishing is to give your gifts to
others that they might be enriched. It is not to be “famous.”
So, while feeling like feeling like a nobody among somebodys, after consideration, I remembered why I had published what I had written: It was to minister to others through the words.
Sot here we see a good lesson. L:et us all do this. Let us give our gifts, not becoming depressed about what we are not, but being happy for the opportunity to share the gift.
